
A group of top scientists from the universities of Hasselt, Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels have set up a corona consortium this week. These are specialized 'modelers', who predict with mathematical computer models how the virus will spread.
Professor and biostatistician Kurt Barbé of the VUB takes part in the consortium. He developed a mathematical model with which he can predict the number of infections and the date of the coronavirus peak.
