Structural Health Monitoring Offshore Structures
24SEA was launched as a spin-off company of Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the Offshore Wind Infrastructure lab (OWI-lab) in 2016. It was founded by Gert De Sitter and Christof Devriendt. 24SEA's mission is to empower offshore wind developers and operators by providing the insights and decision support that are crucial to minimising construction and installation costs of future offshore structures, assessing the lifetime of existing structures, and reducing their operation, maintenance and inspection costs.
Data analysis is the core expertise at 24SEA. The team has over 10 years of experience in structural dynamics, signal processing, system identification and structural health monitoring applied to offshore structures. 24SEA offers testing services and develops dedicated short and long-term structural health monitoring systems for offshore structures.
