Medtech company 4Tissue, a joint spin-off of Ghent University, Ghent University Hospital, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), has successfully closed a €7 million Series A financing round and appointed Stéphanie Dupont as Chief Executive Officer.
4Tissue develops bioresorbable, injectable hydrogels designed to support natural tissue repair. The company's technology is engineered to enhance cell survival during lipofilling procedures for breast reconstruction and augmentation. The minimally invasive solution aims to provide a patient-friendly, natural alternative to traditional synthetic implants or complex flap surgeries for women following breast cancer treatment.
The new funding will support 4Tissue’s first-in-human (FIH) clinical study, manufacturing scale-up, and further development of its technology platform for additional applications in soft tissue regeneration.
