Jan Steyaert is a professor at the VUB and scientific director at VIB. He leads the Jan Steyaert Lab in Structural Biology. His passion lies in scientific research, but at the same time he has a nose for the valorisation of biotech ideas. He has been involved in the start-up of various biotech spin-off companies in Flanders, such as Ablynx and Confo Therapeutics.
