BitaGreen brings its unique expertise in urban hydrology, hydraulics and the assurance value of nature-based solutions to help identify optimal locations for green Infrastructure investment. 

BitaGreen is a global privately founded engineering and consulting spin-off of the VUB, providing legendary client service and innovative solutions in water, environment and assurance. In 2019, BitaGreen was awarded funding by Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) in the context of a research activity at the Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. BitaGreen was started up with a commitment to maintaining the constant pursuit of excellence to make the world better for all. The company was co-founded by Dr. ir. Nora van Cauwenbergh, an expert in water and sustainable development with many years of experience in academia and the private sector, and Dr. ir. Nahad Helmi, product development leader and passionate about sustainability initiatives in water and climate industries and became a VUB spin-off in 2023.
