BitaGreen brings its unique expertise in urban hydrology, hydraulics and the assurance value of nature-based solutions to help identify optimal locations for blue-green Infrastructure investment.
BitaGreen is a global privately founded engineering and consulting spin-off of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), providing legendary client service and innovative solutions in water, environment and assurance. In 2019, BitaGreen was awarded funding by Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) in the context of a research activity at the Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. BitaGreen was started up with a commitment to maintaining the constant pursuit of excellence to make the world better for all.
In 2022, the company was co-founded as a spinoff of VUB's department of Water and Climate by Dr. ir. Nora van Cauwenbergh, expert in water and sustainable development with many years of experience in academia and the private sector, and Dr. ir. Nahad Helmi who guided the company on flood risk in the early days. Currently BitaGreen has a passionate team covering product design, full-stack development, front-end development, environmental modelling and marketing and sales that pushes the boundaries of climate and nature tech.
