EU nr: 101095882
Total Budget: 22,000,000€
Contact: Prof. dr. Omar Hegazy
The eBRT2030 project aims at looking into innovative technologies, services and operational models to drive the future of zero-emission Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). By creating a New Generation of advanced full electric, urban and peri-urban European BRT, eBRT2030 will boost solid impact on sustainable urban transport by reducing cost/km/passenger, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), GHG (Greenhouse Gases) and pollutant emissions and traffic congestion.
The consortium represents 13 countries and comprises operators and authorities of 9 cities (a total of 48 partners). Additional operators and authorities (from Europe and beyond, Latin America and Africa) will be involved engaging as followers or twinning cities in this project. All OEMs, Suppliers, PTOs, PTAs and DSOs have hands-on knowledge producing and selling Bus and infrastructure and making them technology-market-ready (TRL) from TRL 5-6 to TRL7-8-9. Institutes and research centres are intimately familiar with the transport market and co-modality and know how to acquire key data. The project will start on January 1st, 2023, for a period of 4 years and is awarded a total budget of 22M€.
