The VUB AI Experience Center is a high-tech test, demonstration and meeting environment where companies, technological entrepreneurs, researchers and policy makers can experiment with AI and work together to develop and produce technological solutions. This center is part of the joint plans of the VUB and ULB to set up a European AI for the common good in Brussels.

Following a new digital strategy for artificial intelligence and data by the European Commission, President Ursula von der Leyen visited the leading AI Center. The new strategy is the guideline for a European policy in response to competition from China and the United States. There will also be more rules to limit the risks of artificial intelligence. Europe wants to play a pioneering role in applying AI in healthcare and in the fight against climate change, but not at all costs.
