EMAXSIS SRL was founded in November 2025 as a spin-off of Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the EPOWERS research group. Established by Thomas Geury, Sajib Chakraborty, Mohamed El Baghdadi, and Omar Hegazy, the company delivers advanced embedded edge-monitoring technologies (hardware and software) to ensure the reliability of power electronics converters and control units. These components are at the heart of the energy transition and digitalisation within the automotive, charging infrastructure, and energy sectors.
Power electronics are now essential to daily life and central to the electrification of energy—from renewable generation to electric mobility and battery storage. Because these devices are so prevalent, extending their lifetime and reliability is critical. By limiting downtime, we prevent negative impacts on both usage and cost.
EMAXSIS aims to empower the automotive and energy sectors with deployable digital tools that elevate system performance, availability, and longevity. Their mission is to support companies on their path to smarter, more efficient, and future-ready operations.
To achieve this, EMAXSIS offers complete reference designs and scalable edge-monitoring solutions featuring deployable APIs, cloud connectivity, and intuitive web and mobile applications.
