More research into cancer in all its facets is and remains urgently needed. But it costs a lot. Through VUB legacies, important additional investments can be made within top research teams that have already made important contributions to cancer research.
The investments serve as co-financing for research programs that have already been peer-reviewed and thus approved by international experts. This method of guaranteeing the quality of the spending of legacies for cancer research is the initiative of Vice-rector of Innovation & Industry Relations Hugo Thienpont.
