Jan Steyaert, VUB professor and Scientific Director of the VIB-VUB Center for Structural Biology, has been awarded the prestigious Christian B. Anfinsen Award by The Protein Society for his contributions to nanobody technology and the study of dynamic proteins. His work has improved understanding of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and supported biotech developments in Flanders.
Professor Steyaert will receive the award at The Protein Society’s 39th Annual Symposium in San Francisco, where he will present his groundbreaking research findings.
