At the UZ Brussel, radiologists for patients who undergo a 3D diagnostic examination at the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit have recently been using a new generation CT-scanner. Of which only three are in use worldwide. UZ Brussel is the first university hospital in Europe that works closely with General Electric, who has developed this new CT-device (Revolution APEX).
The integration of state-of-the-art technology makes it possible to provide better and safe medical imaging in urgent medical situations as a basis for correct diagnosis and treatment. In addition, this device is also tuned to better adjust the imaging to the age and shape of the patient and the parts of the body that must be examined.
