OPEVA explores the benefits that can be gathered from aligning multiple actors involved in the modern ‘mobility experience’ to optimize electric car autonomy in a world that also needs to consider sustainability and resource optimization. The OPEVA consortium consists of 33 partners from 9 European countries. It covers the whole value chain needed for the research & development, industrialization and commercialization of the OPEVA solutions. The OPEVA consortium brings together all required knowledge and expertise to achieve the project goals and objectives, where VUB EPOWERS will focus optimizing the battery management system (BMS) architecture and its connectivity with highly integrated power electronics technologies to enable new features such as V2X with smart charging management systems towards VaaS and MaaS concepts. The project will start on January 1st, 2023, for a period of 3 years and is awarded a total budget of 7,518,148.51€.
