FWO will launch a new call for Applied Biomedical Research with a Primary Social finality (Toegepast Biomedisch onderzoek – TBM) in February with deadline in April 2026.
A TBM project aims to develop a new therapy, diagnosis or specific prevention of a disease/medical problem or to compare existing therapies, diagnostic methods or prevention measures, in order to evaluate their relative effectiveness and cost-efficiency.
It targets advanced “late stage” application-driven (bio)medical research with an added value for the Flemish health situation and a lack of industrial interest.
