On January 17, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership opens a call for proposals for hydrogen research. In an unprecedented effort to support the development of cutting-edge hydrogen technologies, a total of € 195 million will be made available for projects. The Call addresses key priorities (identified by the Strategic Research Agenda) within different areas of research and innovation, with direct and quantified impact towards the achievement of the objectives of the Clean Hydrogen JU.
The subjects will be divided into 2 Coordination and Support Actions(CSA), 13 Research and Innovation Actions (RIA), and 11 Innovation Actions (IA). Five Innovation Actions (IA) have been chosen as flagship projects because they are deemed to be of strategic importance and are anticipated to significantly speed up the shift to a hydrogen economy. At the heart of a number of topics are synergies with other European partnerships and programs, as well as with Member States and regional programs.
