If the number of covid-19 patients in Belgium continues to rise, there may be a shortage of artificial respirators. A team of engineers at Vrije Universiteit Brussel’s FabLab Brussels has therefore started building and testing a simple ventilator.

At the end of 2019, hbits was officially welcomed as a spin-off of VUB.

Humans and robots are increasingly working together. To make this collaboration as safe as possible for people and for the work they do, “soft robots” made of flexible and soft materials are becoming common.
